The deputy governor of Edo state, Hon Dennis Idahosa, says IGP Solomon Arase (rtd.) dedication to service and commitment to national security will remain a source of pride to Edo state and the nation at large
The deputy governor described Arase's demise as a great loss, not only to tge state but to the entire nation.
In his condolence message by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Friday Aghedo, the deputy governor extended his condolences to his immediate family, the Nigeria Police Force, and the people of Edo state.
"I received the news of the passing of our dear Solomon Ehigiator Arase, former Inspector General of Police and Chairman Police Service Commission (PSC), with sadness and a deep sense of sorrow.
"As a dedicated intelligence officer and patriot, he served Nigeria with courage, discipline, and an unwavering commitment to the security and well-being of his fellow countrymen and women.
"His legacy as one of the finest officers that have led the Nigeria Police Force will remain a source of pride to our people.
"May the Almighty God grant his soul eternal rest and comfort his loved ones at this difficult time," he stated.
