The Edo State Police Command has dismissed information circulating on social media that the Edo State new Commissioner of Police, Nemi Edwin-Iwo has disbanded the Edo Security Network. 

In a statement signed by the Command's spokesman, SP Joel Yamu, said that the information is not only false and misleading, but also mischievous and capable of causing unwarranted tension in the state.

The CP however assured Edo residents of the Command's commitment to maintaining law and order, and ensuring the safety and security of all its inhabitants.

He urged residents to remain calm and vigilant, and to report any suspicious activities to the police, while warning mischief makers to desist from spreading unfounded rumors or face the wrath of the law.
