The Minister of Works Dave Umahi says the Lagos-Calabar coastal road construction will take eight years and cost four billion naira per kilometre.
Umahi made this known while fielding questions about the project on a monitored program.
The minister said each kilometre of the coastal road would cost four billion naira but said the government’s prudence made that possible.
Umahi, however, said the cost is a tentative one, adding that there are plans to recoup the money via tolling.
He said there will be security at the toll gates and also some facilities like filling stations.
