President Bola Tinubu has declared the probe into the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) closed and lauded Jim Obazee who was the special investigator.

Presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale in a statement said the President commended Obazee for his services as the Special Investigator of the CBN and other related entities, upon his appointment on the 28th of July, 2023. 

The President noted Obazee's dedication and professionalism while handling the complexities of the critical national assignment.

Obazee was appointed to probe the CBN in the wake of Godwin Emefiele’s suspension as the apex bank chief.
