The Transmission Company of Nigeria TCN, Benin, has said the company has since completed the upgrading of its facilities, therefore is not responsible for the blackout currently being faced in the major parts of Benin City.

Super FM reports that the Benin Electricity Distribution Company BEDC Plc, in its circular made public, appealed to residents of the state, especially some areas which are going to be heavily affected by power outage to bear with them as the TCN are going to embark on upgrading of its facilities, therefore, there will not be constant supply of electricity pending the completion.

The BEDC management appealed further to the affected areas to bear with them till January 7, 2024.
