Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has said that there is an urgent need for a law that will help to check organ harvesting and trafficking in the country.

Obasanjo equally demanded legislative support in terms of a new bill to support people with kidney disease.

Speaking at the 36^th Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference of the National Association of Nephrology in Abeokuta, the former President also called for investments in local production of dialysis consumables.
