The Edo State Director of the National Identity Management The Commission, Efe Oki has apologized to Edo residents over difficulties experienced in acquiring the National Identity Number (NIN).

Oki tendered the apology when she appeared before the Edo State House of Assembly to honour a summon by the lawmakers. The state director explained that her office recently took delivery of computer systems to hasten the process and denied any form of racketeering in the registration process, insisting that all charges are paiddirectly to government coffers.
