A former member of the House of Representatives, Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama has joined the 2024 governorship race in Edo state vowing to reposition the state if given the opportunity under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Ogbeide-Ihama told party faithful and supporters in Benin that his decision to run for the governorship position follows state-wide consultation with critical stakeholders on his political ambition.

He explained that his ambition was to transform Edo, serving as the bridge between the young and the old and ensuring that all sectors are give maximum attention for sustainable development.

Ogbeide-Ihama explained further that he has remained loyal to the PDP since joining in 1998 and stand tall above other aspirants based on his academic qualifications and experience in the private sector. He therefore sort the support of his senatorial district to realize his ambition.

People present at the declaration were PDP Edo south senatorial leadership, all Edo south Local Government Area chairmen, secretaries, women leaders, ward chairmen amongst others.
