The Edo State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a lasting partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) ensuring interventions are geared towards guaranteeing improved health and wellbeing of citizens of the State.
The State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Samuel Alli, gave the assurance during a courtesy visit by a USAID team, led by Angela Agwalye, at his office, in Benin City.
The Commissioner expressed appreciation to the partners for their ongoing projects and support for the State, emphasizing the importance of targeted and data-driven programmes for effective interventions.
During the meeting, Agwalye, the lead of the USAID team, highlighted the purpose of their visit, which included assessing current transition programmes and ensuring seamless support for HIV treatment services in Edo State.
