Edo State Deputy Governor, Comrade Philip Shaibu has emphasized the need for Nigerians to recognize and celebrate both living and late heroes whose efforts have made significant impact to humanity.

The Deputy Governor gave the charge when he hosted his staff, their families and friends at his residence in Benin City.

Comrade Shaibu explained that the annual event was postponed to the 15th of October following the October 1st fire disaster in Koko, Delta state that claimed several lives.

He noted that the event was also to appreciate a retiring driver in his team who has shown dedication and commitment to duty.

Comrade Shaibu further hinted that two of his senior drivers will soon be rewarded for their service with two houses of their own.
