Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) has confirmed that they have commenced a legal battle with Nigerian International, Tobi Amusan and the matter has been taken to the Court of Arbitration for Sports ( CAS).
The AIU filed an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport against the Disciplinary Tribunal’s decision that Tobi Amusan did not commit an anti-doping rule violation for Whereabouts Failures.
Just before the World Athletics championship in Budapest, Hungary, Amusan was provisionally suspended after she failed to undergo a compulsory doping test.
But she was later cleared to compete in Budapest and she was unable to defend her title.
