A senior pastor of Omega Fire Ministry and Governorship aspirant in the upcoming 2024 election in Edo state, Dr. Azemhe Azena has called on security agencies and the government to put an end on the incessant attacks of clergymen in the state.
Pastor Azemhe made the call when he paid a condolence visit to Reverend Dr. Sam Chiyelugo who recently survived an assassination attempt but lost his wife in the process.
Dr Azemhe told Super FM that the security agencies must do more to protect clergymen, knowing their contribution to the preservation of a peaceful and orderly society.
The Clergyman further called on relevant agencies and traditional leaders in the state to jointly condemn this spate of attacks and insecurity in Edo state.
On his part, Reverend Sam Chiyelugo while explaining his ordeal in the hands of the assassins, charged the government to beef up its security network and architecture.
