The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says
a total of 12,352 Permanent Voter's Cards (PVC) were
collected on Saturday 14th of January across Edo State.
Figures released by the Edo state INEC Head of Voter
Education and Publicity, Timidi Wariowei showed that Ovia
North East had the highest number of collections with a total
of 2494, followed by Oredo with 1334, Ikpoba Okha with
1172, Etsako East 1020 and Egor with 1014. Owan East had
906, Akoko Edo 714, Etsako West 617, Orhionmwon 593 and
Uhunmwode 530.
Local government areas with low collection include Igueben
with 111, Esan South East 183, Esan North East 185, Owan
West with 193, and Etsako Central with 283.
According to notice, the collection of PVCs will continue on
daily basis including Saturdays and Sundays, excluding public
holidays from 9am to 3pm at the INEC Offices in the LGAs
from Monday, January 23 to Sunday, January 29, being the
last day for the collection.
