The Independent National Electoral Commission
(INEC) says a total of 18,551 Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVC)
were collected on Thursday 12th of January across Edo
State.
Figures released by the Edo state INEC Head of Voter
Education and Publicity, Timidi Wariowei showed that Ikpoba
Okha had the highest number of collections with a total of
2931, followed by Ovia North East with 2851, Etsako West
with 1952, Ovia South West 1587, Oredo 1590, and Akoko
Edo 1176.
Local government areas with low collection include Igueben
with 154, Owan East with 385, Owan West 381, and Esan
Central with 395.
According to notice, the collection of PVCs will continue on
daily basis including Saturdays and Sundays, excluding public
holidays from 9am to 3pm at the INEC offices in the various
Local Government Areas.
