The Edo State Government has recanted its earlier figures of

kidnap victims of last Saturday’s Igueben Train Station attack,

stating that 20 persons not 32 were kidnapped.

The State Commissioner for Communication and Orientation,

Chris Nehikhare made the clarification in a news briefing in

Benin City.

Nehikhare claimed that the new figure was from a recent

intelligence report available to the government.

Meanwhile, the rescue effort by the combined team of the

police, local vigilante and hunters is still ongoing.
