The Forum of APC State Chairmen has backed the National Working Committee’s (NWC) decision to extend the tenure of the Rivers State APC caretaker committee led by Chief Tony Okocha.

The Forum made the feeling known in a communiqué signed by the acting chairman of the forum CORNELIUS OJELABI and the secretary ALPHONSUS OGA-EBA on behalf of the forum after its closed-door meeting with the national working committee of the party in Abuja.

The communique read out to journalists in Abuja, by the Secretary of the Forum, Alphonsus Ogar, commended Tony Okocha’s leadership.

He said the team led by Tony Okocha has revitalized the Rivers State APC chapter, making it one of the most active and vibrant. 

The chairmen also commended Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s leadership and resolved to send a letter of appreciation to him.

The forum also commended all the major actors whose contributions led to the party's victory in the Presidential Election.

It also commended the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for achievements in infrastructural development, security, and human capital development, in the executive cabinet of President Bola Tinubu.
