A governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress in Edo State, Anamero Dekeri, has faulted the issue of zoning in politics.

The APC slated its primary for February 17, 2024 after the Independent National Electoral Commission fixed September 21, 2024, for the governorship election in the state.

Dekeri, a member representing the Etsako Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, who stated this while briefing newsmen in Abuja, said zoning breeds incompetence, adding that the right competencies and skills should be considered.

He said the APC is concerned about winning the governorship election and not zoning.
