The House of Representatives has called for a thorough investigation into the frequent killings and destruction of property in different communities of Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

The resolution was sequel to the adoption of a motion of urgent public importance brought on the floor of the House during the plenary by a member of the House from Zamfara State, Hassan Shinkafi.

Presenting the motion, the lawmaker said that the attack came at a period citizens were battling with the hardship in the land, occasioned by the economic downturn.

Adopting the motion, the House urged the Inspector General of Police to set up a tactical team to unmask the mystery behind the incessant attacks and report back to the House in two weeks.
