The confusion trailing the All Progressives Congress (APC) Primary election has continued, as Anamero Dekeri on Sunday became the third aspirant to be declared winner of the exercise.

One Ojo Babatunde, who said he was acting on behalf of all the local government returning officers, said Dekeri polled 25,384 votes to beat Dennis Idahosa, who polled 14,127 votes to second place.

Imo State governor and Chairman of the primary election committee, Hope Uzodinma had on Saturday declared Honourable Dennis Idahosa winner of the exercise, while the state returning officer for the primary, Stanley Ugboaja declared Senator Monday Okpebholo as the APC candidate.

Super FM gathered that the state leadership of the APC has since submitted a comprehensive report on what transpired during the primary election to the National Working Committee of the APC.
