The Edo State Police Command has arrested a 38 year-old Ojo Oluwaseun and 28 year-old Lukman Ganiyu for obtaining money under false pretence.

The Command spokesman, SP Chidi Nwabuzor told newsmen during a press briefing in Benin that the duo were arrested by the police surveillance team at Ugbighoko, Ekehuan Road, following a petition by two women seeking spiritual help for their businesses from the suspects.

One of the victims was duped of the sum of 850,000 naira, while 26,000 naira was collected from the other victim.

One of the suspects said he got involved in the act while looking for money for his apprenticeship, while the second suspect denied involvement in the crime.
