The Senator representing Edo Central in the national assembly, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has promised to declare a state of emergency in all sectors of the state if elected as governor.
Senator Okpebholo made this known when he met with executives of the All Progressives Congress in Etsako Central, Etsako East, Etsako West, Owan and Akoko Edo local government areas where he appealed to Edo North delegates to nominate him as the party's flag bearer.
According to him, the state of emergency would encompass key areas such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, security, agriculture, and job creation.
He stressed the urgency of addressing these issues, citing the need for immediate intervention to uplift the lives of Edo residents.
