The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Mahmood Yakubu, has solicited the support of the Nigerian Air Force in airlifting election materials for the February 3rd rerun and by-elections.

Yakubu made this known during a visit to the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar in Abuja.

In nine states, two senators, four members of the House of Representatives and three members of the state Houses of Assembly will be elected in by-elections to replace members who passed on or resigned their memberships in the national and state assemblies.
