Reactions have trailed the sharp turnaround at the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) that saw officials clear almost 60,000 passport backlog within four working days.
Recall that the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, confirmed the development at the weekend vowing to sustain the tempo to ensure that Nigerians applying for passports get them within two weeks of application.
Some Nigerians who spoke to Super FM hailed the doggedness of the minister, insisting there should be a reforms in the system.
Some however disputed the claims of the minister, saying it was impossible for 60 thousand passport to be cleared in four days.
The development was sequel to the minister’s directive last Thursday that the Nigeria Immigration Service should clear all pending passport applications.
