The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has said a

linked account being attributed to its Executive Vice Chairman

and Chief Executive Officer, Professor Umar Danbatta, is

fake.

A statement issued by the Director, Public Affairs, Reuben

Muoka said the linked account has no affiliation with the NCC

or Professor Danbatta.

The commission therefore urged the public to be wary of any

communication or connection request from this fake account,

as it is being operated by fraudulent individuals, who may be

seeking to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
