Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police, Arungwa Nwazue
Udo has assumed duty as the new AIG, Zone 5, comprising
Edo and Delta states.
Arungwa Udo took over from AIG Lawan Jimeta, who died on
Sunday, February 12, at the University of Benin Teaching
Hospital (UBTH) after a brief illness.
A statement by the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, DSP
Tijani Momoh noted that the new AIG enlisted into the Nigeria
Police Force on the 1st of March, 1990 as a Cadet Assistant
Superintendent of Police and has risen through the ranks over
the course of his career.
The AIG Zone 5 Benin therefore solicited the cooperation of
the good people of the Zone, to assist the Police with useful
and timely information that will enhance In checkmating
crimes and criminality in the entire Zone.
