Barring any last minute change in schedule, the Edo State
House of Assembly is expected to meet with representatives
of Seplat Petroleum Company PLC and Orogho Community
Leaders today.
The house had resolved at Tuesday plenary to invite both
groups after a presentation of its standing committee on
community and chieftaincy affairs.
The committee had confirmed through its findings that the
disputed community land was indeed situated in Orhionmwon
local government area and belongs to Edo and not Delta
State.
Recall that Orogho Community had petitioned the house to
save the community from being ceded to Delta State by
SEPLAT Company.
