The Edo State Government has set up a committee to check

cases of homicide in the state.

Governor Godwin Obaseki made this known after the monthly

Security Council meeting held at the Government House,

Benin City.

He told journalists that the government was working in

partnership with security agencies to address the menace.

According to the governor, the State Security Council has also

mandated the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency

(NDLEA) to raid spots in the state.
