The Scorpion of Gambia proved to be the better side as they sent out woeful Nigeria's Flying Eagles in the semi-final of the U20 African Cup of Nations in Egypt, BSNSports.com.ng report.
The Nigerian side started the game on the front foot but it was Bojang that netted the opening goal in the 8th minute to put his team in the driving seat.
Despite going one goal down, the Flying Eagles failed to muster any serious attacking threat into the opponent's half throughout the entire first half.
The second half resumed with Nigeria still having much of the ball but the Gambia team was able to keep them at bay. In the process of keeping their lines, the Gambians conceded a penalty in the 86th minute and it was missed by Abdullahi.
The centre referee sent off the Gambian midfielder towards the end of the game but Flying Eagles failed to make it count as they crashed out of the competition. Flying Eagles will face the Young Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in the loser's final to determine who wins the bronze medal.
